03/2006 | SplitRock : readability rules

A year after its launch as a world first, the concentric chronograph SplitRock collection is now being enriched by a date display.

All the brand signature features are reflected in this model, including an individually numbered movement, Côtes de Genève decorative motifs on all bridges, circular graining, blued screws and an oscillating weight that is specially cut out – as indeed are all the rotors on Pierre DeRoche self-winding calibres. The superb SplitRock case with its taut lines and mobile lugs, fitted with two cambered sapphire crystals, provides the perfect frame for this magnificent movement distinguished by an original construction that makes it truly one of a kind.

Going a step further, Pierre DeRoche also wanted to give a sporting touch to this product. Its new date window, featuring optimal readability thanks to a date segment at 12 o’clock, made it possible to increase the size of the date numerals by around 20%. Moreover, the perfectly damp-resistant rubber strap will meet the demands of sports enthusiasts who are never parted from their chronograph, whatever the conditions in which it is used.

The concentric chronograph, featuring a read-off mode for measured times that simply has no equivalent on the mechanical watch market, is thereby broadening its range to offer even the most demanding wearers a unique product that is fully tailored to their needs.

The MDA SplitRock concentric chronograph is available in 2 versions:

  • SPR30001ACI0-004 Steel case, black dial with steel hour-markers, polished steel hands, steel folding clasp, rubber strap
  • SPR30001ORO0-002 5N 18K rose gold, black dial with 5N gilt hour-markers, 5N gilt hands, rhodium-plated 22K gold oscillating segment, 5N 18K pink gold folding clasp, rubber strap.
