Passions cannot be explained. From my earliest childhood, the art of complicated watchmaking has been part of my environment, just like the undulating peak of the Risoud or the shores of the Lac de Joux. Exercised in my family for the past four generations, it unites the values I have always held dear: work, patience, a quest for the absolute, and a love of fine craftsmanship.

Today, as Pierre DeRoche is setting up in my family home in Le Lieu, it is undoubtedly a childhood dream come true. But it also represents the expression of a combination of experience and passion. Inherited from my watchmaking forefathers, these are the driving forces that have been breathing life into complex mechanisms for over a century and giving rise to exceptional watches destined to find their way through many generations to come.
